Laura Cook


After treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and sporting teams for five years in beautiful New Zealand, Laura moved to Melbourne in 2019 joining the SUM team.

Laura uses her skill set of being a Physiotherapist, Pilates instructor, and Western Acupuncturist  to integrate hands-on manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription. Once the “root cause” of any given condition is established Laura believes that education, body awareness, and stability are key to achieving the best long-term outcomes. Laura loves building a strong relationship with her clients and you are guaranteed to be leaving feeling optimistic and energised for the journey ahead.

Having completed the PINC Cancer Certification course, Laura is also passionate about cancer rehabilitation and aims to inspire and encourage those undergoing or post-treatment regain confidence, strength, and optimise quality of life. Laura would love to connect with anyone affected by cancer.

  • Laura has competed at an NZ national level for both Soccer & Wakeboarding.
  • Outside of work you will find Laura pondering in a good book shop, catching a few waves on her surfboard,  or with a glass of wine in hand.
  • Her favourite place on earth is Pauanui, on the Coromandel Peninsula.
