Deana Gheri


Deana has a Masters of Physiotherapy and found her passion for movement based rehabilitation and injury prevention through her background in dancing and martial arts.
She enjoys treating a wide variety of conditions and people of all ages utilising a combination of hands on and exercise therapies. The principles of Pilates play a large role in her practice to improve strength, mobility and core stability, as well as having training in the use of dry needling to treat musculoskeletal pain. Deana is motivated by empowering clients through education and believes in using an individual and holistic approach to help all of her patients achieve their goals.
With a special interest in injury management for dancers of all styles after growing up in the performing arts, Deana has further qualifications in pre-point assessment and training. She has loved working with young dancers over her career as a physio to reach their highest potential. She has also had extensive experience in the management of osteoarthritis and has trained in and coordinated the GLA:D program before joining the Sum of Us Team in 2021.

  • In her spare time she loves keeping active and you’ll find her in the ballet studio or running with her sister by the beach.
