INDIVIDUAL CLINICAL REHABILITATION CLASSES

1 Therapist : 1 client

What to expect: An intimate, tailored rehabilitation class specific to your rehabilitation goals using a combination of Pilates based and other corrective and therapeutic exercises.

Best For: Those that have an injury requiring close attention and supervision, or those who have never done but are wanting to start Pilates. Or those who prefer a personal and private class 1:1

CLINICAL REHABILITATION SMALL GROUPS

1 Therapist: 4 Clients (MAX 5)

What to expect: An intimate small group class, where your physiotherapist/exercise physiologist will tailor your class and exercises to your goals, level and how you present on the day. Using Pilates based and other corrective and therapeutic exercises. Our studio’s are equipped with reformers, cadillacs, sliders, Wunder chairs, barrels, weights and other fun equipment.

Best For: Those wanting a tailored and progressive approach, in a semi private setting. Those with any injury/needs requiring some attention, modifications and supervision, or those new to pilates. Or for those who wish to work on something specific and help to curate their preferred class.

PRENATAL CLINICAL REHAB CLASSES

1 Therapist: up to 5 Clients

Guided by physiotherapists to ensure safe and effective exercise through pregnancy to help prevent pain and musculoskeletal complications, and assist in timely post natal recovery.

We offer a unique Pre-natal Pilates class, held in a small group setting with physiotherapists and exercise physiologists so that you receive the highest level of expertise and knowledge yet at an accessible and affordable rate. We believe and know that exercise throughout pregnancy (when safe) is the single greatest thing you can do for yourself to help to minimise musculoskeletal pain and complications, optimise labour, and assist in a timely postnatal recovery. Our Prenatal classes, are intimate, informative, challenging, adaptive to needs, and with a great sense of community and support.

How to get started:

We recommend starting with a 1:1 with one of our physiotherapists prior to commencing Pilates at Sum of Us.

Initial Prenatal Pilates: A single 40 minute session with our prenatal trained physiotherapists for us to get to know you and your needs and you to know us. This session is a great opportunity to learn about minimizing abdominal separation & pelvic floor complications, and answer and inform any questions you have around exercise or your pregnant body journey.We can give you a tour of the studio and inform you what you can expect at Sum of Us. If you prefer and time permits we can get started in the studio 1:1

POSTNATAL CLINICAL REHAB CLASSES

MUMS AND BUBS

1 Therapist: up to 6 Clients

Guided by physiotherapists to ensure effective, specific, but also challenging and fun exercise postnatally  to help assist in timely and. complete postnatal recovery.

We offer a unique Postnatal Pilates class, held in a small group setting with physiotherapists and exercise physiologists so that you receive the highest level of expertise and knowledge to effectively guide YOUR postnatal recovery and yet at an accessible and affordable rate. Our classes are designed so they can be tailored to your particular needs and stage postnatally, no matter how far along you are, how your pregnancy and labour wear. We treat you all personally and to your needs.

Bubs are incredibly welcomed to Postnatal Classes (we love cuddles!). Bring a mat, bouncer, or leave sleeping in their capsule or bassinet. If disaster strikes we’ll give you exercises you can do with bub!

How to get started:

We strongly recommend starting with a 1:1 Postnatal Assessment with one of our physiotherapists prior to commencing Pilates.

Postnatal Assessment: Strongly suggested from approximately 6 weeks post birth. A single 40 minute session with our trained postnatal physiotherapists. We learn about your pregnancy, birth and postnatal journey,  check for any residual abdominal separation, and then find out your goals and needs. Using any remaining time to assess and discuss pelvic floor, treat any niggles or pain, develop a home exercises plan, or get out and make a start in the studio!
